Sunday July 17th A, B & C and TEAM TIMBERMAN Rides from the Rye High School

Please note the various changes for this weeks ride

A, B & C Rides as well as TEAM TIMBERMAN leave from the . (leaving 7am sharp) note the day change

A really big thank you to Matt Thomas and Dale Klein for stepping up last Saturday and leading out the C Ride. Matt has been there time and time again to help out and it was Dales first time volunteering on a Saturday ride. We really do appreciate their help and look forward to other members volunteering over the next few weeks as we really need your assistance.

A very BIG Thank you again to Cosmo for leading out the A ride. Thank you sir.

We need leaders and sweepers especially for the C riders this weekend. We need volunteers to step up and help out across the board on all rides…. who else among our members that will step up and help out???

Please take a moment to thank the volunteers who step up on weekly bases and lead and help out the rides. Without these volunteers the rides would not be possible.….

SERIOUSLY….these members are stepping up week after week to lead the rides and we would appreciate if other members would step up and volunteer for just one Saturday ride for the entire season and help to lead or sweep. Its really simple just say you’ll be there to help out and give us a date from here to the end of September. Time to give back

Please watch out for pot holes on the bike routes especially the one under the Hutch Overpass and Lincoln Ave. We will continue on this course for a couple more weeks before heading out on some new routes. Make sure to look at some of the upcoming rides (below) for some events. If you haven't got your bike out of winter hibernation make sure its road ready. Please get it serviced or given the once over by a bike mechanic before heading out on the roads. Also make sure you have a fully equipped emergency kit with you at all times along with ID, an emergency contact and your cell phone. Don’t assume its all there from last year, check it before you ride. There is a tremendous amount of obstacles on the roads this year especially after a very harsh winter so be alert at all times to avoid them. The roads are much narrower due to the debris so be alert at all times of the motorists around you. The ride route is below for you to review.

TEAM TIMBERMAN … from the Rye High School and B riders can join in.

A little over a month to race day

This weeks ride will be again another long ride with that in mind we will leave the Rye High School at 7am. Traffic should be light as it’s a Sunday morning and the weather forecast is good conditions.

We will ride north up through Rye Brook on Kings Street and then onto R120 and head into Chappaqua and over to R 100 passing over the Kensico Reservoir and making a right onto R 35 and a left north onto R 22 up to Titicus Reservoir. We will ride around this beautiful body of water and then back to R35 via North Salem Road. From there will we go west on R 35 and make a left onto R 121 and head into Bedford. From there we will head back towards Greenwich Middle Paten Road just to test those strong legs. This is a great route so bring your energy and lots of nutrition.
